I have always been a fan of Nokia mobiles and have been thinking of changing mobiles but it all seems to have got so confusing since I last bought a mobile phone - I am a pay as you go customer and don't like the idea of getting an i-phone or google phone and being stuck with a 24 month contract paying £35 plus a month.

I looked at some nokia models the other week and quite liked the look of the c3-00 but the other day I caught sight of a Samsung mobile where the screen slid open revealing a qwerty keyboard. I guess its similar to the Samsung Wave - can anyone offer any suggestions on what samsung model it might have been?

I want to remain a pay as you go customer and I'm happy to stick with Virgin Mobile or move to Orange.

I'm not fussed about having facebook or e-mail but would like the threaded text message facility and a qwerty keyboard - any suggestions of what models I should consider ? Budget for pay as you go about £50 I guess - will pay up to £80 I suppose

Every samsung I've had won't let you choose your own SMS tone which is a pain in the backside. But I'm a Chelsea fan, so I am honour-bound to get samsung. Got to pay for Torres somehow!
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

thats interesting. I like being able to change the ring tone and the text message sound etc

I'm tempted to stick with what I know and since my last two phones have been Nokia, thats what i think I am going to stick with. If only the nokia I'm interested in was just a few tens of pounds cheaper, I would be rushing out tomorrow to buy it.... I like the look of the Nokia c3-00 but are there any other new nokia mobiles people would recommend ? i want a qwerty keyboard and threaded messaging. would ideally like a better camera than 2 megapixel also.

nokia e7 offers a full qwerty keyboard but it uses Symbian system and wont come cheap ofc.
I recently happen to be looking for an android phone with full qwerty after using samsung omnia pro b7610 for 18 month. the closest thing I can see atm is htc desire z,which uses a fairly weak battery. I'd love to see a samsung galaxy s2 with a sliding keyboard but such model is yet to be announced.
