Hello everyone . Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. The challenge runs from Sunday to Friday so we don't include Saturdays but feel free to change the rules to suit you and include Saturdays or start on a different day.
Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:
Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.
Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her:

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been around much the last couple of weeks, during which I completely lost control of my spending. That did include going to the Take That concert with cheap tickets found through the Grabbit Board, had a great time!!
I'm going to pledge £30 this week please.

Hi all
Thanks for picking up the baton PP! Well done on your green last week and quiz night sounds fun on Wednesday, I get dreadfully competitive at these things!!!
I've spent £2.75 out of my £10 this week, went for a coffee with a friend earlier after I'd been out for Fathers Day roast with the fam. I saw my friend because she's on secondment down at Portsmouth at the moment, and usually stays away Mon-Thu, but for the next MONTH she is working all the weekends as well so won't be home at all! So I wanted to see her before she went off
Technically I spent money today paying for a third of the bill, however that cost isn't really till next month as mum is letting me pay her back as I hadn't budgeted for it  what a plonkerso it doesn't count as a spend as I haven't spent it yet! :rotfl:
Hope everyone has done something nice today, see you all on here in the week!
