Got it from lady I got some of it from on Wednesday. She was not impressed but was polite all the way through
One thing to beware carrying all these 1664 boxes-the edges are really sharp and I have cut my fingers a few times on all lifting them in and out the car!0 -

And can add the bottoms are not that secure - one broke on me on the long trek to the far end of the car park. My biceps needed a workout though!
I'm not sure if images are allowed on here - but there is a variation on the A4 yellow signs....Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

MrsTee wrote:well im going at approx 2 am when hubby gets in from work, I'm hoping to get some meat r&r (I spotted something last time I was in but didnt have much money on me), price per kg reduced on sel but not on joint, so am hoping it'll go through at price on joint label.
It will go through at the label price as long as it's an individually weighed pack ie not a box of six chicken thighs which are the same weight/price as every other pack.
I might not have remembered this exactly right but the last approximately five numbers of the bar code are the price it will go through the till at. If the last few numbers of the code are, for example, XXXX24752, then the price of the meat will be £24.75. It's easier if you have a look at a pack in your freezer, then you'll understand what I mean.0 -
As an ex Tesco employee I always read this thread with interest!
Cannot believe people are getting banned. This is wrong. For every person who claims a R+R there are others who haven't noticed and have left the store overcharged.
As I remember, if a customer is overcharged CS will make a note of the 4 digit number on the bottom of the till receipt. This is the checkout ops ID. This gets written in a book.
Checkout ops are trained to look for stickers on products and check that they correspond to the price on their screen. Often when checkout ops sign in, messages will flash up to warn them of any misprices (not sure if that is still the case now). We were also told not to double scan products, i.e if someone had 2 bottles of coke it had to be 2* coke, not 'coke' 'coke'. This was because people could claim they only brought one and that the barcode was scanned twice.
In my experience (after I left Tesco) I've had 2 R+Rs. First time I was literally accused of switching stickers, second time I was asked to buy back the products at the correct price. Appalling service from the so called number one retailer in the country.
Off topic - have you ever wondered what happens to Tesco employees if they are ill? In my time if you had a day off ill, the day that you came back you were called into the office, given a warning, banned from doing overtime for 6 months, and placed on monitoring.
Sorry for the waffle - hopefully an insight for you R+R people!!0 -
Anyone else reckon this Kronenburg misprice is Mr T's way of wishing all us R&R'er a Merry:beer: Christmas.
Its the perfect R&R with an In Date Poster, no way they can even try an wriggle out of it.
And perfect timing for Xmas:D
Seems odd to me
Merry Christmas to you to Sir Terry:T
If you fancy popping round this Xmas for a bottle of Kronenburg or smirnoff or even a can of Tetleys Smoothflow PM me, I've £100 worth, CHEERS:rotfl:
Anyone spot Sir Terry out in Tescos today or yesterday stacking shelves, packing bagging? Apparently he was helping in out in store along with 1600 head office staffAccording to yesterdays Mirror.

Sickness policy is a disgrace !, you can be signed off work with a diagnosed illness and immediatley disciplined upon the "welcome back" interview, they always ask how they can help you?- well not disciplining someone for being ill is a good start.0 -

As a way around this - all R&R transactions I do I use self service tills where they are available.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!

Yes Tesco are seemingly not the best employer...a friend who worked there as an electrician was made redundant as Tesco outsourced all of their maintenance (lowest bidder - save more money to fund more Tesco stores so every village in the land has the pleasure of a 20p pint of milk).... anyway he was then offered his job back with new company but for less money....!
On another subject - I found Michael Palin's book today for £8.97 stickered - scans at 9.97 - was this a one off - I think someone had tampered with the sticker as it was last copy and looked like two or three stickers had been attached and removed....OR possibly this is going to be lower price next week and I got a preview copy?.... anyone else?Tesco is my second home:j0 -
That policy with staff is terrible!! The majority of staff I speak to regarding R&R's are polite and honourable. How can Mr T treat them so badly? Mr T creates the R&R by constantly changing prices. Abused staff should joim us R&Rers by R&Ring at other stores. Unite troops and attack!! LOL"The journey of 1000 miles commenced with a single step"0
