dog1 - wombling is when you have/find a receipt where someone hasn't had their CC points added to their account.. If you take these to CS desk they add them on to your card.. They usually scribble thru the barcode to show that the points have been added..
I think shegha is referring to this rather than a R+R'd item :-)0 -

Taking the already refunded (free) item back to obtain a second refund.
If that's what you're asking ??
Here..... Tesco have made at least 2 errors 1. Overcharging the customer. 2. Not marking the receipt, then possibly 3. Giving a second refund.
Happens every day. :T :T :T0 -
I notice a few, just doing their "Christmas Shop" in the hope of just getting the odd RandR.
Some of the other supermarkets are generally cheaper and the quality isnt any less.
There'll be plenty of RandRs after Christmas.
Please dont feed the Tesco Troll, in the hope of an RandR.
You're giving him his money back, that we've been happily taking all year.
Seasons Greetings to all you and your'sCouponing....."every little hurts"

shegha wrote:Does anyone know when wombling when you added the point onto your card and the CS give you the recipts back and hasn't crossed then out with a pen if you can claim the again?
No. I would imagine once scanned(the barcodes) they can't be used again (rather like a phone voucher), although the CS possibly dont realise this.Couponing....."every little hurts"

mich_city wrote:Have seen a few people mention they've been banned for wombling, one was told they were caught on the stores CCTV doing it and issued a store ban and all points removed..
I will have points added from receipts given to my by family members, but no longer pick them up if I see them in trollies etc.. Not worth losing my points by doing this..
Ive never seen or heard any mention of bans for "wombling"....I thought i'd read every post since day 1....................are you sure.
I've had "Wombled" points deducted............but a ban seems rather severe.Couponing....."every little hurts"

The points will add on again if they haven't crossed out the barcode, I haven't done it myself but I have heard of someone rubbing out the pencil lines when a cs used a pencil to cross the barcode. IMHO its not worth losing all your points over.0

There was someone on the paidtoshop website that was called in by the manager and told they had cctv of her wombling, she also had her clubcard account closed and I believe received a letter to say she was banned from the loyalty scheme.0
