Agreed! Frequent a dozen or so stores in the area and not everyone wears a badge! Most frequent without are management types, CS if they think they can get away with it and the Lottery/Tobacco working types. Also vary rarely see any floor staff with them, something to do with them getting caught on goods and shelves when stocking.

On all three occassions i have had contact with "senior" members of staff they have not been wearing name tags. In fact they havent even been wearing Tesco uniforms of any sort.

just been barred from my local store after an r+r . What are my options to find out why and any recourse?

Just had a PM from the guy who calls himself Hollis Brown on EPH.....(wishes to remain anon)

He reckons hes been barred for 24 hours for making an offensive post,,,,,

Wonderful............so its OK for you to mention MSE has lost the plot, when half of the recent posts on here have been about anything but misprice discussions.........Football was the main one I think.....

Sounds as though you can say anything you want wlfc1, but anyone who has a different opinion, cant express it.

Ps......How many warnings does one get.

After he posted the above reply...the ban arrived.

Seems ok for wlfc1 and his clan to spam on here, advise people to go to EPH, but its not ok to have a different opinion........or support MSE.

Sound like a load of sheep to me........................

Ive got some "friends" on there as well

Osakan and Ole do however seem able to see the "bigger picture"

Someone surely has to stand up and be counted.

On the subject of misprice discussions

I just had extreemly agressive questining from a store manager over some small r&r (less than £10) including asked for my name and address and post code - cs looked up the postcode on her terminal while I was talking to the manager.

I guess the manager has some performance measure on the value or number of R & R's the store has and I'd guess today was the last day of the period, however no excuse for the level of agression - all just body language, tone and invading my space but agressive like a drunk bloke in a pub.


Can anyone enlighten me as to what they are alowed to do in terms of demanding names and addresses - the policy doesnt say provided you give us your name and address.

They dont need to know anytrhing about me other than I have the means to pay to take money off me at the till - in this case to over charge me, so can they reasonable demand it, can I reasonably refuse and once they have it what are they alowed to do with that information?

Also does anyone know in practice what they actually do with the information?

Maybe i am not seeing the bigger picture here but i fail to see what relevance this post has, this is an EPH issue why not leave it there? why take it over here? unless of course to cause mayhem.
