    IMHO opinion it's quite a bad reflection on this country as a whole that supermarkets and other shops are open new years day. Can we not survive for more than 24 hrs without a shop? I drove past a sainsbury's on the 27th and people were queing to get in, it only closed on the bloody 24th!

    Edited to add: I'm not a religous nut or a luddite either!!

    This was the first reference I can find....Post 32 on the 18/12/06
    Also for those who are unsure on the rumours. Tesco ARE changing the policy in Jan. After speaking to H/O last week they told me it was being changed to "Double the Difference" on over charges as from Jan.

    With that news we all must make this Xmas the best one ever and go Crazy for the last few weeks getting R&Rs.

    But i think it was from a post on the misprices only thread.....

    Unfortunately the mods were thorough that week and everything regarding this has been deleted.......as has a lot of "trolling" posts and arguments.

    As it stands, you wern't the first to mention it, but as lots of posts were deleted over that period....We'll never really know.

    Unless anyone can search more thoroughly than I have.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

    Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
    But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

    I agree with this people were arguing to try and get in the store on Christmas Eve and then again queing to get back in 2 days later - People were even asking if we were open on Boxing Day:rolleyes:

  • :confused::confused: EVERYONE wears a name badge!!!

    Have to disagree TE. I work for Tesco and I'd say that 75% of employees don't wear name badges. Senior Managers in my store certainly do not.

    :eek: Im suprised - It is a battle at times to get the GAs to wear them but certainly all the managers wear them as to set a 'good example'
