am i eligible to reclaim?

hi
i am thinking of reclaiming old bank charges but not sure if i should. heres the situation:

current debt

barclaycard £7500-on a payment plan of £30 per month - interest frozen
cap 1 £4900 - on a payment plan of £5 per month
nationwide credit card - 9000 - account sent to debt collection agent on a payment plan of £30 per month
nationwide current account - account sent to debt collection agent. payment plan 10 per month

cuurently living offshore, all payments organised by local government debt counsellor.

as i am on this plan, if i reclaim old charges (and ppi on an old nationwide loan) and they agree and take the repayment off current balances, will this affect the fact that they have agreed reduced payments? current plan has been ongoing for just over 2 years and i have missed no payments in this time.

can anyone help??
cheers x

I doubt you can reclaim them, the banks have no obligation to refund charges.
Why do you feel you can?

You appear to be mixing up three separate claims here. They need to be separated because reclaiming is based on different reasons.

    1. Credit card reclaims.
Here you can try and reclaim late payment and/or over limit charges, especially if they exceed £12.
See the MSE guide for full details: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/credit-card-charges

    2. Bank charges. You will only have any chance of success if the charges were not correctly applied or you are in genuine financial hardship.
See the MSE guide to reclaiming bank charges: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges
Refer also to the sticky thread on financial hardship online resources: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2428497

    3. PPI. There's a whole different board to cover reclaiming PPI and other insurance.
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=169
I would suggest you take a read of the guides & advice available there, and if you still have questions over reclaiming PPI, post on that board where there are people who will be able to advise you better on that particular aspect.
