Is there some sort of one liner post count you are trying to reach ? Cos this adds nothing at all to the topic.

  • Thames Water have asked me to pay a whole years bill up front because of the trouble Ive been in in two previous years. Because I cannot pay it they sent my details to a dept collection agency who say that I have to pay £60 per week to cover the debt, because Im of Job seekers I offered Thames Water £5.00 per week until I start my new job in September, this has been refused. I am currently on job seekers allowence which I get £65 per week, I have a 13 yr old so cannot do this, any advise would be greatful:eek:

For everyone we are liable to pay a water bill a year in advance.

However it is a concession that you can pay 50% in April and 50% in October or a payment plan/Direct Debit.

We are now 3 months past the time when the 2011/12 payment was due and it seems like Thames Water have lost patience.

There are some schemes where help can be provided for those who really cannot afford to pay - although it may be too late if the matter is being dealt with by a DCA.

You might be better posting in the DebtFreeWannabe forum as they will give you better advice on dealing with a DCA.

You could try asking for direct payments but as you are already behind they will more then likely want you to pay some of the debt off first.

You could also looking into the trustfund.

Depending on your bill it might also be worth looking at getting a meter as at least that way you can cut down etc
