Selling my iphone 3 - not sure if it's 3G or 3GS - capacity says 29.3GB

I'm selling my iphone 3 due to financial reasons. I really love the phone and just hate selling it

However, I'm not sure if it's a 3G or 3GS - anyone know how I can find out?

I've just looked under settings/general/about and it says capacity is 29.3 GB - back says 32 GB - so I'm sure it's a 32GB phone?

I don't have an iP, but I guess there has to be some information in settings, something like 'phone identity'.

if the writing on the back shiny (like chrome) it is a 3GS, but if it is dull then it is a 3G

also do you have the compass app? if you have the compass app it is a 3GS if you dont it is a 3G

Apple did not make a 32gb 3G. You have a 3GS.

You could also find the model number on the back of the phone. You can google your model number to verify this.

Thanks everyone for your help. Yeah its like chrome writing on the back it has the compass application. Model no is A1303 - so its a 3GS wondering now what it's worth - any bidders lol

I sold my 16gb white iphone 3gs on ebay a couple of weeks ago it was in good condition and 18 months old locked to orange and I got £200 = £7 postage so I got about £175 after fees. You can get about £145 from mobile recycling sites.

i had all the packaging though

Gee I can't believe Ebay charged you £25 to sell it, must be over 10% selling fees??
