Oh you poor thing, you must be gutted. Some years ago my husband told me he had a card from the newspaper or something and had 3 20,000 come up and like you he binned it. I was livid but what can you do. Like the others have said you win some and you lose some. I hope things work out for you, all the best.
Thanks to all competitions posters and answer finders

Grannybiker, you have actually really made me feel so much better without realising it.

You mentioned about your biggest prize being the safe arrival of Violet. That rung home so much. I have four wonderful, beautiful children after fearing I would never have any. I have been horrible to be around today after wallowing in self pity. But you are oh so true - they are worth far more than ten grand.

My hubby just tried to make me feel better by asking what I would prefer to lose: - my framed footprints of each child only worth £60 each or ten grand.

Thank you - I am still so sad but would never swap money for all those sentimental things. Do feel bad that I could have taken them away and spoilt them though after a really hard year.

And I might have lost ten grand but I might have found a life time hobby - comping. Determined to get 10 grand of prizes somehow. Thanks for your kind comments.

Violet is my 3rd, much adored Grandchild and my life is some much richer for having my adored ones in it. I too believe that our childen are so precious, (Enjoy these special years- they really do fly past!) but I never believed it was possible to feel so passionately about a baby who wasn't mine, then the 1st Grandchild arrived...! I hope you get to experience these joys too one day!
Glad you're feeling more positive too XX

oh no! They are doing the cash wallets again this week after me throwing away 10 grand! I have ended up going out and buying seven daily mirrors. Think I must be losing it - this is so unlike me. Going shopping today was quite surreal - everything seemed really cheap compared to what I have lost. Oh well, that's life. My sadness levels on the richter scale are improving.
  • Chin up Vbac. I know its not on the same scale but I once put the phone down on heart fm I was half asleep and thought it was a sales call. Turned out if i had answered it I would of won £4000 worth of entertainment stuff big tv, bluray player, ipad all the latest gadgets. I was upset at the time but just thought it wasn't meant to be and carried on comping. Since then I have won some great things thanks to the people on this forum. You never know something even bigger might be round the corner. Try not to get too down.

Ever sceptical but this thread is sounding more and more like a Nigerian scam.

My thoughts exactly - their first ever post saying they had lost £10K - if they had thrown the wallet away, how would they know their number had come up!
Then asking if we know any comping websites? Why are you here posting about a 'non win' and then asking that? You found the 'i win' section, did you not notice where the 'i win' section is?

Im really sorry if you have genuinely lost a big win, but to me, this sounds like a scam/begging story.
