How do I create a signatue and avatar?

There is deffinitely some way of creating a signature and avatar on here, but just can't find it?
Could anyone guide me through the links for both, please?

    Click the link on the green bar that says USER CP to access the user control panel. There are options in there dealing with signatures and avatars. :)

    That was there before ... or someone has the same one ... I remember it because it scares me! :o
