i am sorry to ask in this part of the site i have looked n looked in the phone bit an can not find it i also can not post a thead to ask there is there any way i could get a unlocking code for my nokia 2600?

For security reasons you shouldnt be giving out your IMEI in public like that! anyone can have your phone blocked (barred) as a prank!!

anyway, to unlock your phone:

1. Remove SIM CARD !
2. Type #
3. Then press the * key 3 times (you should get a "p")
4. Then press the * key 4 times (you should get a "w")
5. Then press the * key 2 times (you should get a "+")
6. Then enter: 326316547475227
7. Then press the * key 2 times (you should get a "+")
8. Then enter: 7
9. Enter: #

IF UNLOCK SUCCEEDS YOU SHOULD SEE RESTRICTION OFF ON SCREEN, YOUR PHONE IS NOW UNLOCKED!

That should do it, if for some reason it doesn't repeat above but at step 6 enter the number 997992111511006

I've helped 100's people in that thread....I assume the codes the person gave you were with the incorrect settings

non standard unlock settings for Virgin mobile and Orange so you neeed to know what you are doing

go read through that thread and see how it works
