i recently opened an account with studio and as a welcome received a lovely tin of roses dont be so sceptical but if people stupid and abuse gift by ordering too many they will stop giving this gift as has happened with other freebies or good deals people just get greedy

You're right - welcome gifts can be good if not abused. A tin of roses with your first order is a good offer but people can overdo it leading to all sorts of problems for the company and the customers. Just as long as people know that you are opening an account with them and they can send you a bill - some people seem to think it's a few personal details and that's it.

Hopefully people will have better things to report this year.

I got my order today i had ordered something but i got all my freebies and free postage. I have been with studio for a year and order freebies in most parcels i order and i have never been charged for them.(i did open an account with them first and sent for something on its own before i started ordering the freebies with my orders.)I only order one of each freebie to so manybe this helps.

well i only ordered freebe other week and i have been charged postage but o well ya win some ya lose some.

I got my order in November time and it was all okay, but it wasn't fantastic quality on some of the items.

I paid up in full - well 2 halves when each half order arrived and rang up before my first order arrived and asked if I'd qualified for the free tin of roses as at the time i only had the leaflet advertising it, no code to put in - so the lady just put it on for me and it arrived seperatley, so I ended up with three deliveries, but thankfully just the one p&p charge.

On the whole, I only used them as things were half price and I could see things that most members of my family would want, but I won't use them again.

Hopefully Studio have learnt from the experiences of last year. From what I have seen the tin of chocolates was substituted for a standard box and p and p of £4 was charged (i.e. more than the box would have cost in shops). People refused to pay the invoices and they charged late payment and interest so it soon snowballed.

I got a letter from them today saying they have cancelled my order as its too late for christmas.

If I still want the goods I can reorder and they will be processed in the new year.

So I have reordered, and they are still comming up as free.

Oh, I also used the free delivery code this time.

I ordered these when the thread was first started and got my tin just before Christmas - with a delivery charge of £4.75 or so.
Without checking the thread again for advice I just called them up, said I had no idea where they had come from, said I hadn't even heard of Studio and they cancelled the account, wiped the bill and said I could keep the tin.
Fair enough.

I ordered near the beginning of December, and had yet to recieve them (thank god). I did email them a week or so later asking to cancel the order, they replied, asking for my address, and i sent them the address back. They never acknowledge this email though.

I have yet to recieve the roses... do you think they will still come? I sure as hell hope not!
