Report him to FACT as well. Piracy in films and games is destroying the industries. People loose jobs, and money because of piracy. I think that anyone involved in any form of piracy should have the book thrown at them. It is an illegal activity - generally funding organised crime/drugs somewhere along the chain!:mad:Play up Pompey!0

what exact make/model is your DVD player? There are pages of instructions to make MOST multi regional with just a few clicks of the remote. PM me if you want, or google for dvd hacks."If a man says something, but there is no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?"0

Going O/T: I've always wondered about that last point, 'funding organised crime/drugs'?
Surely the point of doing organised crime/ selling drugs most of the time is to make money, a lot more than you would on eBay from selling DVD copies?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

Things like DVD piracy and insurance fraud (the field I work in - investigating not committing, I hasten to add!!) DO fund other organised crimes. In particular, they are used to launder money. So they kind of "buy one get one free", if you will!! Two offences for the price of one!!

Totally agree. If films didnt cost in excess of £12 each piracy would not be an issue. And although some money from most forms of illegal activity goes to terrorists somewhere along the line, many copies on there are only sold for a few quid each - i would imagine they would have to shift quite a few to pay for an AK-47 (and assuming they have internet access!!)
I mean i read about 6 cases this past week where 4 were put in prison with the worst being for 4 yrs! you get less than that for rape and murder these days.
Anyways back on topic I would personally just say you are no longer interested in the product and agree to not leave any feedback but advise ebay. Going to FACT etc is a bit heavy in my opinion. Maybe advising ebay will scare him/her enough to get them to stop. I would rather this happen than him/her get put in jail especialy if they have a family over what could be an oversight on their part (ignorance that is).0 -

Whilst I do think that scare stories like by buying DVD copies you are paying for drug dealers on the streets are OTT; surely no-one selling them on eBay can plead ignorance?
Shop him to eBay at least for his stupidity IMHO.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
