Not like Ratners! Swarovski's pretty high end. They're famed for their crystals and they're not cheap.

Probably ratners was the wrong jeweler to compare with.
    Samuals then:)
So they are not cheap then as i imagined,as i say im not into high street shopping unless it says Wetherspoon's on the door:D

I collect Tarina Tarantino (coincidentally I have a fair bit of the Alice in Wonderland range), now I rarely wear these pieces so they sit in my jewellery box in their little dust bags. They were expensive so I'd be flippin furious if that was the attitude. Jewellery like this isn't made to be worn all the time, surely the idea is that it sits in a box waiting for the right occasion?

Just a quick update. Got the necklace back today fully repaired!! Woo!

They said that it was only the trumpet that looked as if it'd been "misused" ie near perfume/hairspray/body lotion...

lol. I dont care! They fixed it, but that's a bit silly, people wear perfume daily...its not as if you spray the necklace with it, you always put perfume on before jewellery IMO

    Woo!!

Unfortunately it wasn't an attempt to make myself look clever, I could do that in many ways, but being sarcastic and trying to get a response from a very tedious thread isn't one of them!

Here's a little tip for you:

If you find a thread 'tedious', instead of posting stupid comments and making a bit of a tit of yourself, why not just not read it?

Not only would it save you valuable time but it would tend to enhance your standing in the forum as you would not become known as someone who likes to belittle people with problems just because they don't seem important or interesting to you. :)
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.
