Please does anyone know where I can contact Tricity finance. I made my final payment on my loan in oct 2007 and I want to claim for PPI but I no longer have any of my paperwork so I need to write to them to ask for copy of my aggreement then to follow it on, but I dont know where to write to, I have read that RBS have taken over them and someone told me that Santander had taken them, I do hope that someone can help, an address would be great but any info at all would be a help as i am on the point of giving up. Thanks

A bit of googling and looking on here at MSE suggests Tricity Finance was absorbed into GE Capital

I don't know if that is THE answer - and I don't know how up to date that latter link is - but it was the best I could find - maybe other members can help further. If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,

Tricity Finance were part of the First National Group that was absorbed by GE Money Home Lending in about 2002. They're based in Harrow and Watford. If you google these key words you'll get an address to complain to.
Your first port should be be whoever sold you the policy. Tricity did little direct selling themselves so going to them is probably not the starting point.0 -
Thank you *MF* I will try these links and hope they get me started its a lot more than I had yesterday. thanks again0

Thank you wombleSW20. Many years ago might be 15 or 20 I bought a piece of furniture from a store and it was Lombard Tricity name on all paperwork for finance, I have had finance with them a couple of times buying from furniture shop, so because they had a record of me as a customer I thought I would have a good chance of getting a £5000 loan from them when I needed one so I googled Lombard Tricity Finance and applied online got it no problem that was Nov 2002 with interest and PPI I paid £8000 back paid off Oct 2007, but my paperwork had Lombard Tricity name on, if they did not lend me the money then I have no idea who did so realy wont know where to start. The maddening thing is that I kept all my paperwork for three years after it was paid off and only destroyed it 12 months ago . it looks as though I dont stand a chance of getting any of my PPI back.0

Incorrect, you have it muddled up GE Capital with GE Money Home Lending.
Tricity Finance were bought out First National Tricity Finance (part of GE Capital), now Santander Cards in Leeds.

thank you roonaldo for info I will get some letters sent off this week, but it will probably be waste of time, it is most unlikely that they will have coppies of my finance agreement but I have to try0

Roonaldo - you're correct (and very blunt in your phrasing) about it being GE Capital and now Santander.

Hi There,
Has anyone who was sold PPI with Lombard Tricity loan and actually made any progress with their claim. If you did could you possibly post contact details here.
I had a Lombard Tricity loan ( no longer have paperwork as it finished in 2004 ),so I contacted RBS and all they have been doing is giving me the run round so far.
Many thanks0 -
I too have just come across some paperwork from an old loan, from Lombard Tricity Finance Limited. My Loan was for a kitchen fitted by the Fitting Service for units purchased from B&Q. The loan was taken in 1995, and it was for £1990. I notice there is PPP on the statement, which I assume is some kind of PPI.
Am I too late to start the claim process? I have been involved in a massive road traffic accident and have been unable to work for over 3 years now, so any money would be a bonus.
And where would I find the letter templates to start the process?0 -

there...but, they weren't regulated so can dismiss your complaint. So, you make a complaint, and see what theyc oem abck with. If it's negative, you find out who the insureres were and see if they will take responsibility for it.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
