it depends on when the contract is concluded - i.e when you were bound to buy the TV - arguably this was whilst you were on the phone as you have paid a deposit and must have been bound to buy the TV and would have lost the deposit ifyou hadnt bought the TV

Depends on what their terms say and waht they toldyou on the phone too.

Just to update all of you who took the time to post - thanks for that.....

I called in and spoke with Manager today - who has offered me a £500 credit note to spend instore. He was extremely professional and very fair. He explained that they had called Philips to see if they could rebate the cost of the TV purchased last week to match the price they are paying this week in a bulk buy/offer deal. Philips refused to rebate them, otherwise they would of quite happily refunded the difference and neither me or the shop would of been out of pocket.
I'm guessing - this credit is a goodwill guesture based on my situation and the fact that I'm a very good customer and have been for years.

I can and still will, recommend this company to anyone.

Again - thanks to all who posted :T

    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
