  • I'd pay about £100 a month for that, maybe a bit more. If I could get it ;)

Here on a market 1 exchange it costs nearly forty pounds a month for line rental and near unusable 1.5Mbps ADSL narrowband nonsense from any half decent ISP.

I don't have much, well in fact any experience of a Market 2 or Market 3 exchange and pricing so I can't see how it compares to everyone else, but the only offering which could potentially compete with that in performance terms is a fibre offering on the BT network, which is still scarce to find as it's only just being rolled out, and even if you could get that, I wouldn't have thought it would come in at anywhere near the price you have.

That price seems to be more or less giving it away :)

That does sound pretty good. I pay close to £30 a month for 10Mb broadband and free anytime phone.
Just hope you don't call many 0845 numbers, as they really sting you on that.

It's similar to mine except that I get free calls 24/7 + BB for £35 pm. If only I was on cable then I could get their excellent TV service too.
  • No, we can't get cable. Sadly. The desire to live in a rural area meant I had to break my policy of only ever living in cabled areas and move into the broadband wilderness.

However we do get 3G @ 5 to 6Mbps so we have a viable broadband option.

The 12mo contract isn't bad compared with a lot of 18mo or 24mo offerings I see these days.
