Looking for some advice or anyone else experience?
I've got a Virgin Credit Card I've had for a few years now. My limit is £5.5K and the balance was £3625 which I paid off in full last week (got a small loan to consolidate that part as the interest was 30.9% APR) I'm now a few quid in credit and I phoned up enquiring about transferring a balance from another card and they said there isn't any offers on my account at the moment and he couldn't do anything for me and it's up to marketing who send offers to customers.
Do you think I'll get one, or an offer soon. Surely Virgin aren't making any money by my card balance being zero and not used??
Anyone had any experiences?
Thanks.

I recently closed a Virgin Credit Card. Had it for 14 months, used it for the 0% for my limit of 8K to buy some kitchen units. Paid the minimium for 13 months then did a balance transfer to another 0%CC.
I called Virgin to close the account and they offered 6% for life of balance.
You need to tell them to close the account before you are offered a new deal.Mortgage free

OP needs to wait much longer than one week for MBNA to make any offers. If the account remains at a zero balance for a few months MBNA will come up with an offer, which they can see by simply logging on to their online account.0 -
Posted this so many times before.
My Virgin cards constantly has repeat offers, currently I have 4 offers, for money, balance transfers and 2 seperate 0% purchase offers.
I transferred £3500 to my Virgin card in Apr 2009, paid it all off in the 16 months 0% period and as I say had constant repeat offers.0 -

OP - if Virgin had upped your APR to 30.9% it sounds like they considered you a higher risk borrower - correctly or not - this would be their reason for the APR hike.
If your "risk" in their opinion decreases, your likelihood of being given a repeat offer should increase. I would suggest you spend a little on the card each month (groceries, travel, petrol), clear that in full each month (thereby not incurring any interest) and after a few months you'd stand a higher chance of being offered a repeat offer. No guarantee, but if you show you are a low risk borrower they'd be more inclined.
Had your balance remained at roughly the same amount for a while? Were you paying only the minimum or just over the minimum for some time? This would explain why they considered you a higher risk borrower.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
