Android phone with at least a half decent battery

Any recommendations for an Android phone with a battery that has some juice in it?

I am not too concerned about the size of the phone - as in it could be twice as thick and it would still be fine, why they don't offer some with different battery/back cover options I don't know, I suspect they would get a significant amount of sales for slightly larger phones.

By half decent battery what to you is a half decent battery? My Desire HD will usually at least get through a day with heavy use (4+ hours in use) or 2 days+ with moderate use. There is a large battery available from Mugen for the Desire Z if you need a long, long battery life. I thought the battery was terrible in my Desire HD until I realised how to use it properly.

Motorola Atrix has the biggest battery on the market.

Yes, I can get about 3 days out of my Desire HD if I switch the functions off after using them. Otherwise they'll update constantly and if you're in an area where it can't connect it will carry on trying and drain the battery in a few hours. Turning the net on before using it and off afterwards takes a couple of seconds.
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

Definitely the way forward. Turn off internet, WiFi and put widgets on your screen to turn them on when you need them, also turn off autosyncing.

Yeah, this is the main problem with smartphones. Would love one that lasts half a week. Or why can't people make juice packs for them?

At least Android you can get spare batteries...

Yes that is a minor downfall that if you have no connection it will drain the battery as it searches on full power to attain a signal but there is little you can do about that. If you're in an area where you know you have zero coverage there's not much point having the phone on lol.

I keep everything turned on (GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, Mobile Data) and it lasts me all day but if I need it to last a few days and still get e-mails and other Internet notifications through I just turn Green Power on to occasionally turn the the Internet on automatically and grab new stuff, strikes a good balance between battery and staying connected for me. :)

By a decent battery life, I mean to go away for the weekend (Friday to Monday) and with moderate use, possibly some GPS and be confident that I would not have to charge the phone.

I have a HTC Desire and I do have an aftermarket large battery which does work quite well but it would be nice if HTC made an official replacement back for the phone which incorporated a larger battery with some sort of cut out for the camera.

I don't mind charging it every day or so but I would like the ability to not have to for 3-4 days.

I had a look at the Atrix and while it looks good I don't think it would manage much more than 2 days between moderate use charges.

I don't think there is a stock Android phone on the market that would do this, but it would be nice to buy a good aftermarket solution.
