    You are on the wrong forum, post on the mobile phone section, you will find that your friend is not alone and you will get lots of advice and info from other victims.
    But clearly, the OP is not looking for advice and info.

    In fact, it appears that all he wants is someone to agree with him. :D

    @Wealdroam,

    As someome who, unfortunately, has had first hand experience in dealing with this scam it is clear to me from what 'Hard_earnt_money' has posted they are not aware of why they have been receiving and paying for premium rate texts.

    Although the Consumer section of MSE can help, I am sure with many other threads available on this scam as well as members with vast experience in dealing with networks and scam companies in my opinion (for what it is worth) moving the thread was the best advice.

    :beer:

    It seems that the thread has been moved.
  • There is a version of this scam via facebook. It appears as the Pr0file Watcher app which claims to tell you who has been looking at your pages. When you click on the link it takes you to a page where you have to take a 'survey' before you get the results. That 'survey' is in fact signing up to the myquiz2win system. If you click on the survey it takes you to a 'verification type' page, which asks you to enter your phone number for verification. There is no mention of terms and conditions or payment or text messages except for verification. If you enter you phone number, and confirm the text code you're given, it then signs you up. Its easy to do this on the assumption its part of a survey.
