Parking Eye at the Range in Truo

I was absolutely devastated to have received a £90 fine for my 15 minutes over the one and half hour you are only apparently allowed.
I unfortunately did not see the sign that apparently points this out.
I went to the range to purchase a good many items for my new business venture and i spent £180.00.
I have written to parking eye with evidence of my purchases and not heard anything back and its been a week now.
I am terrified that i am going to receive an increased bill or bailiffs now.
I contacted the range in Truro and they didn't really want to know, i was told to take it up with parking eye.
Today i contacted the Range at their head department in Plymouth and spoke to a girl called Fiona who couldn't have cared less about my distress, i think she was quite enjoying it! I was polite to her and explained everything, she told me that there was nothing she could do, nor prepared to, to help me.
I'm really, really worried and i don't know what to do. I've read lots of other forums that have said they have no legal right to charge, i cannot afford it anyway but i'm finding the whole thing to be such a worry and the uncaring approach the Range has about the whole thing has been another eye opener in the way this country is going, 'people just don't care'!
Surely the Range is the type of store you could easily spend an entire afternoon grazing through.

don't be devastated.
be happy.
after you've trawled the stickies above spend your 90 squid on something else.
you haven't been fined; you just got an invoice demanding your hard-earned moolah.
bailliffs won't be calling anytime soon; it would need to get to court, the case to go against you and your refusal to pay before it got to that stage. and there's more chance of me dating sienna miller than the bell-ends running PE going in front of a judge.
make no further contact with PE.
gotta rush -hot date.;)0 -

Thats kind of you to reply, thank you xxxx0 -
You seem to be scaring a bit too easily here. All you have is an unenforceable invoice and just have 4 or 5 bits of junkmail to look forward to.
It's not a fine - it's an unenforceable invoice. This will never go to court (I wish it would - as if a judge is going to entertain somebody wanting £90 from somebody who has spent 15 minutes 'over' because he was spending £180 in the shop!)
No bailliffs will be involved, but you will get some debt collection letters. Simply ignore - they are powerless.
Before all that you will receive a templated 'appeal rejected' letter from Parking Eye.
Ignore Parking Eye but write to the Range and complain about this Fiona character.0 -
I'd be more than tempted to take it all back and say you can't afford it now you've been """fined."""I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Read the stickies at the top, stop worrying, expect some letters, use them for origami, and relax.Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.
Got a huge Buzz out of it.0 -

Hi all, first time poster, been lurking for a while
I have just had my second letter ( the one with pics of the car ) for a 13 minute overstay at the Range in Truro and I wasn't even there. I'm the RK of a car that was there for a legit shopping trip.
I looked at the Range website and saw that the boss was a market trader made good, saw his photo and decided it wasn't worth bothering with a complaint. Your phone call to the Range HO suggests that was the right decision
If you go to the Range website look at the Chris Dawson link. (Can't post a url as a new user )
Terrimouse, join me in completely ignoring Parking Eye's letter chain and increasing their postage and admin bill. Worry no more.
I may well write to the local Trading Standards when the expected Debt Collector and Solicitor threats have arrived.0 -

Just write to them saying that thanks to an agent acting on their behalf harassing you, they have lost a customer whom regularly spends £500+ in store & that you will be telling your friends & family to do the same.0
