Thanks. It hasn't got 'disable mms' or 'restore preferred apn' checked, and mentions 'modifer string' which when I go into it has 'apndroid: "apndroid" checked.

Is this right?

I didn't think it could, however there seems to be daily threads from people who have got caught out by 'hidden' charges. Surely it's wise of me to check things out before rather than risking getting charged? This is a money saving forum afterall, and I don't want to pay more than I do for the contract.

But it's a physical impossibility. People getting caught out by hidden charges are always using mobile data.

Yes this was the question I was asking - how to make sure it is off. I won't be using wifi when I am away from home, so will be using 3g then and that's when you can get charged isn't it?
