Lol - I do tend to offer the option of cleaning etc so that they'll chose another activity, but it is nice when you can suggest something that they get enthusiastic over. So far today they've now hunted down remote control cars and matching batteries/chargers so they'll be charged for another day and also out on the trampoline (couldn't be persuaded this morning)
End result - happier kids and less stressed mum!
Thanks everyone!
Kaz
Ps - any new ideas do keep coming as I'm still going to make a 'pick a mix' of things to do

Have you got any old blankets, a clothes horse and/or some deck chairs.
Mine spend hours building camps with the above, and it keeps them quiet! Here I go again on my own....0 -
Hi all,

I reckon this would be a good post for the familes board, so I'll move it across.
My parents always used the housework gag...
..unless it was - "because I TOLD you to!"

I am glad I am not the only one with a trying child today!!
Mine ended up in the garden with a catapult aiming for anything that moved, including my best wind chimes:rolleyes:
He has also turned a couple of boxes into a house for a teddy. Thats much nicer.0 -
Thanks Squeaky - I hadn't spotted this board until after I'd posted (and I've been on these boards for months!!!!)
