Has anyone here had dealing with chinese ( Ebay Style ) website DHGATE.com?
Allow to explain......... I purchased a guitar from DHgate, and paid for it via paypal, the guitar arrived damaged and was promptly send back via FEX EX, and I have been refunded for that, so far , so good!
Logging in my barclays account I see an addition charge 6 days later than the first charge for 33.1362 USD ( approx ). I have contact barclays, they were no help, contacted DHGATE now 11 times, and still awaiting a reply.
So my question is this, both payment were made on my debit card, can i ask my bank to clawback the monies, or is that credit card only. Oh BTW, paypal not interested, and say they have no record of a payment being made, but it shows on my statement a payment to DHgate, via paypal....

If you pay by PayPal the vendor has no access to your banking details. They do get your PayPal email though. If you used the same password on their account as you do for PayPal then they could access your PayPal account and buy stuff. Of course such transactions would show and if they don't you need to look elsewhere for who took your money. The chances are you paid for something and don't remember it.0
