Do people deliberately wait for invoices to be sent?

I prefer to use 'Contact Buyer' after a few hours or the next morning if they haven't paid 'thanking them for buying'. I usually only send an invoice for multiple items or if they haven't paid after a few days.

As so many of them pay minutes after I send them a message through eBay, I don't know if they are waiting for contact from the seller, or if they have just bid early and didn't realize they had won. Could be they just don't check emails regularly.

TBH, it hadn't entered my head to require immediate payment, but I suppose it makes sense. I will re look at my listings, ta!

I stopped using 'require immediate payment' and my sales increased as a result. Not everyone can or chooses to pay immediately. A lot of my customers pay a day or two later.
