Blackberry 8520 Curve or HTC Wildfire?

Hey I really need some help I hope I have written on the right page (and website for that matter)..

I can't decide between the Blackberry 8520 Curve or the HTC Wildfire.. Does anybody know which one is a better phone? I've looked at reviews for both and I have no idea now. Apparently the HTC lags when texting/calling which sounds horribly annoying but i've heard they are better phones. Does anybody know? Just need to make a decision asap because I can't live without a phone anymore!

Thanks any help will be appreciated :)

Both too different to compare - one is touch screen (3g) and other keypad (not 3g).

Whilst the wildfire is battery hungry - it does work well for internet and texting (there are apps to make it easier to type on touchscreen).

Rather have wildfire than 8520 (and I do have htc wildfire).

Saying that both are old now - htc wildfire S is out and the blackberry 9XXX are newer and more fancy than 8520.
  • Thanks that was great help.. probably go with the wildfire then.. i'm just trying to get a cheap phone but i want something that'll last more than 5 minutes.

    Thanks for your help :)

Don't go on what I say, see what others think. Just my conclusion that the wildfire is better than 8520.

Some people just do not like touchscreens so not sure if you will.

And I would be looking for really cheap deals for those two models (on contract), given that they are old models.

I have the Wildfire and my daughter has the Blackberry. She loves the blackberry for the bbm (?) features and the email. She uses it with an o2 Simplicity sim with the blackberry bolt on and I paid about £130 for an unlocked one in Phones4u at Christmas time.

I have the Wildfire and have never found any lagging in calls or texting, now so used to the touch screen I can't use my old phone for texting any more, you quickly get used to it. I bought the Wildfire from Tesco and use their £10 a month sim which was on offer at the time giving me 500 minutes, unlimited texts and enough data for what I use it for.

There is a newer Wildfire out my boss got via o2 for £10 odd a month but I think its a 24 month contract.

For what it's worth the screen on the wildfire s is a massive improvement on the first one. Worth it if you can stretch to it.
