LG repair
Hello! Hoping for some advice in regards to a broken phone.
It's an LG GT505 (Awful phone, if any of you are looking at buying one). Last year I had to get the touch screen on the phone replaced as it suddenly froze and stopped working. At this point it was still under warranty.
The phone was sent back to me in full working order, although the plastic screen covering the touch screen was a little loose. I didn't bother sending it back as the phone itself worked (Very stupid of me I know). I'm now about 2 months out of my warranty and I've had the exact same problem with my phone.
Do I have any rights to a repair via LG? It seems a little odd that I've had the exact same problem with two different LG screens.
I'm just a little worried that if I sent it back they would say it was my fault as the screen can be completely peeled off now, even though that was their shoddy gluing during repair.
Any advice would be handy!

The plastic screen over the touchscreen is a screen protector, which is a consumable and easy to replace. or it was on mine anyway.0

I assumed as much with the out of warranty, I'm just unsure as to how much of a warranty they give on their repairs? I think it's 3 months but I'm not 100% sure.
It just seems a bit coincidental that the same type of phone had the same problem twice- could it not be a common fault?
It's the touch screen itself that doesn't work. The plastic cover just comes off once in a while.
If I'm honest I'm not optimistic...0 -
This may help with problem
Ordered unlocked LG phone (model not available in UK) for local US delivery from Amazon US September 2009
Screen went blank December 2010, contacted Amazon US for assistance, although out of warranty, they contacted UK LG who in turn confirmed item repairable.
Job completed total cost £23 including postage both ways in 10 days Very impressed with Amazon US assistance and LG UK repair operation
