ebay USA might be better for selling, ebay is quiet the government cuts are biting to the bone, seems the stuff selling are items that reduce bills, energy saver stuff.

I often have lots of watchers & no bidders, you get all excited hoping that a couple of people will at least bid.
Something that I sold on Sunday evening 9.30pm ish had been listed a few times before, lots of watching going on & no bidding, it went for over £30, as a couple of people wanted it.
If it doesn't sell it's free listing this weekend.

Not always allowed. I would have thought that the end time could be tricky, school pick up time as well as work.

Many years ago i had 2 staff, and i went out buying on a day loads of listings were finishing.

When i got back, they were singing and dancing round the office. "Whats happened", i said. "We are in for a big bonus", was their reply.

As i sat at my desk, looking through the auctions - while they whistled away in the background - i had my head in my hands. My former partner had bid everything up to silly prices and won the lot. Not one genuine buyer.

Took me ages to get all the FVF fees back. I lost all the listing fees too, and had to start them all again.

I have never let anyone have access to my abay account or user name since - and have limits on the amounts of bids one person can win (don't think that was an option back them).

Oh, and no clowns helping me

Nice one.

Years ago items got bids as soon as they were listed. Now it tends to be near the end of the listing.

The only time people like to bid early, is if there is a buy it now option - as the bid removes this from the sale.
