Have a few items listed on Ebay, but can never seem to get it right
One item has less than 2 hours to go and 29 watchers, but no bids - what am I doing wrong?

Have you checked completed listings, does this item usually sell at the price you want? If so, then you might get a lot of last minute snipe bids. If it isn't a good seller usually then the watchers might be watching just to see if you do actually get the price you want before they list their own one.
If this is through a private account and you listed 10 days ago on the free listing day then it might just be that prices are often artifically low due to some categories getting flooded with rubbish.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What is your item number? I will watch it too and see.Owed out = lots. :cool:0

I'd remove the item number, it's not a good idea to let people know your ebay ID. If you upset someone on here they could cause all sorts of mischief.0

Others are trying to sell them for £10 and got no bids, theres a listing too that went for over £80 - good luck i'm watching it.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
highish starting prices perhaps....?
I was watching some new tents the other day, they were at 99p....I like tents, seem to have a shed ful. I thought the seller was nuts.
anyway they eventually went for well over £100...
(PS you wouldnt actually send it second class would you - could leave you exposed if bidding increases from your £40?)0 -

Thank you for the input -
The high starting price is actually low compared to others that were listed at the time.
I nearly always put second class but invariably take the hit on SD0 -
Could it also be that it is ending during office hours, so not the best time of day?0

I have heard Ebay is REALLY QUIET. And I wanna sell my clarinet, and was shocked to find that in fact selling at about £40 less than what mine had been valued at was recieveing no bids. Also, the ones that were selling at even less..mint condition..were getting very few too. People I guess are just willing to pay what they are willing to pay. It's not a seller's market. I am prepared now I will have to drop the price for mine probably more than I had expected. But would rather that, than get nothing. And unless ur selling lots of stuff or have got a business, I guess it's gonna be at the buyers rate.0
