in Water bills
hi my water bill shows surface drainage and sewerage standing charge sewerage. what are these and am i responsible for them. also if u lodge sumewhere for a few weeks and are nt the tenant or responsible for any bills can yorkshire water charge u for the water used also for the above drainage and sewerage charges, i would imagine if the tenant hasbnt paid up they just be trying to pin it on sumone

You are responsible the sewerage standing charge.
The surface drainage charge depends where your surface water goes - into the sewer/running into the road or into a soakaway. If you do a search on this forum you will find a lot of information about this.
If you have a tenant in your property it depends on the rental agreement who pays - if you are on a meter you would be unwise to pay it yourself as your tenant would have no incentive to be careful with water.0
