Perhaps an addition to the no names/fees warning could be made advising that page 1 has info on how to get started.0

Thanks everyone - I did read the original post when I first started with R.Eyes, and thats how I found gap. I just wanted some feedback from those who are doing it here and now, incase some of the info on op wasn't quite so relevant now.
That information gets edited all the time its very uptodate!
Mystery me -- It is a good idea but surely you don't open a book to page 173 and start reading do you? You start from page 1?0 -

But this is an internet forum not a book. In an ideal world people read page 1 first but this is not ideal world it's the web and I don't think it should be assumed that people will read the thread from the beginning. Some people will find that annoying and others will go with the flow but that's how it is.0

There is a difference between asking "What companies are good to sign with" which is listed on the FIRST page and are in good standing. But we get that question like 10x a month if not more.
And if it was a question like "Hi Ive read the first page and saw company X and Y does anyone have an opinion to which one has more opportunities etc" I would happily answer because said poster made an effort.
If you treat this thread like "rebels" etc it won't go far... There are a lot of posters here who have VAST experience but have stopped or post very little because of the fact people are taking the mick and hard earned research put into the first post is being ignored.
Really wasn't trying to annoy anyone. SorryPlease, pretty please!:D

Apologise for not wording my question my better. I wasn't trying to take the mick, and the advice I have had about it being personal preference has been really valuable, - that's all I was after, just a little personal advice from those who know more than me.
Really wasn't trying to annoy anyone. Sorry
Nothing wrong with your question or how it's worded. It's a fair question to ask IMHO, unfortunately not everyone will think so.0 -
Saying that though, the self proclaimed 'monarchs' have all gone quiet since I had a pop at a couple of them. Bullies man, just hit them back and they run crying to their mams.
I think you'll find that most of us have just abandoned this thread. You obviously don't need our help so we figured you can fend for yourselves.0 -

Each person has an opinion and some are relevant some are less relevant. There is not one single person on here with all the answers, that’s one of the reasons this thread exists in the first place. Everyone has something to offer and has a right to ask a question, if people don’t want to answer because they think the question should not have been asked in the first place then ignore the post and read on, don’t hurl abuse at them and ridicule them for asking what they consider a reasonable question. I have seen this happen too many times on here.
It really depends on the question, as I remember correctly the posters snapping at DPJames related to his referring to clients with very simple clues that were as effectively the same as using their true names.
If anyone thinks there isn't any harm in this the true reason was best put forward by Max from Helion Research sometime ago, that it isn't so much that the companies care that their competitors will find their current clients & fees (as in most cases they already know this), rather that shop assistants will pick up the info and login in order to fudge the results.
This was demonstrated several months ago when a client pulled a high profile project from one of the OP companies as the details of a high profile program had been leaked to staff. - should add this was a comparatively well paid project (if you liked the details)0 -

Good idea - I've got very limited characters in the title field, but I've done my best!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
