had an odd email from catatlyst any one else
    dear whitelabel

We will be processing the August payments at the end of this month and I’m just checking to see if you would like to receive your payments through PayPal?

    From
    **
    operations Director

Now I havent done a job for them for a good couple of months and not expecting any payments from them. Ive read the comments about fees etc that they are making us pay, a sneaky way to get every one to sign up now, by making them think they have some money coming ?

i just replied saying, no thanks i dont use paypal, a cheque is fine ;)

I have replied along the same lines.
It will be interesting to see how they play it when they only offer paypal as a method of payment, which reading between the lines won’t be long now.
They are obliged to offer an alternative method of payment that is free if they don’t absorb the fees. Unless of course they change the contractor agreement to inform you beforehand.
I personally wont be doing any for them when they go down this route as I find it borderline worthwhile as it is now.

Oooh thanks for that. Just deleted my alert. Not gonna bother alerting about them anymore. Don't wanna get sacked.

Speaking of hotels – I have enjoyed doing the regular RE chain hotels but have not MSed any hotels since being really put off by the horrendous forms of an American-based MS company that shall remain nameless. Argh!!!!

I just haven't got my nerve up to do another one since the last gargantuan slog. The 5* London hotel I shopped wasn't even very nice. The air conditioning kept me awake all night.
    .

    Sounds like CHG

I do warn about them on the first page

Think I'll probably get a quicker reply on here than from RE but has anyone done the airport jobs? how quick do they expect you to submit your report? going away in a few weeks was wondering whether it would be worth the pulllava?

Depends which jobs, I did one of the security ones a few weeks ago, really really simple to complete, just phoned it in, I did a couple within the departure lounge too. I phoned those through as well but I did ask them if I could do that when I called to confirm them.
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

In my experience with them they take ages to pay and actually need prompting a few times. I think someone named Barry is in charge of the accounts.
