I always get so excited when I see the easy GFK bank visits. Then I remember I can't do it with a student account :(

Open a savings account online Independently of your student account and use that for the ms visits. My sister has done it and she has never had a problem. Just make sure you don't do it whilst logged into digibank

you should be able to open a current account with them as well as i had both at uni (and two overdrafts :o) tell them you want one to put your spends in to keep it seperate.

on another point, i did a branch for the third time today and she actually used my name! never happened and i have prob done over 10 of these. she was sickingly nice but then i could hear her talking to others like that too. would be interested to know if they do have something on your account as wouldnt have thought they would be allowed to.

i have been in a branch before not on a ms job to pay a cheque in and an assistant took me in an office to do the cheque (long counter queue and work being done on welcome desk). when she brought up my account i could see it on the screen and it just said my name, account name, balance and overdraft so maybe not!

They've been using my name as well but TBH I think that is one of the service standards the client wants as the question is always asked on the Q. Perhaps staff have been reminded to use customers names if the banks were getting feedback that they weren't?

That's right, the GFK phone shop is on GR. Probably just a trial or they may be doing it for a particular network, i.e. the one GR normally do. GR are wishful thinking if they want people to do it for the dropped fee. GFK struggle to allocate them with the full fee!!!!:eek::eek:

I remember in the good old days when the chain in question first set up their MS programme and it was £25 per shop plus mileage and parking

Surely this makes it easier and less obvious?!?
I've noticed lately in several branches they have started asking everyone if they want a receipt.
It's less 'I'm a mystery shopper' to say "yeah okay" if they ask if you want a receipt than to have to specifically ask for one.

I got pulled up on that once at a drive-thru. He gave me my drink at the food window and asked if I wanted a receipt. I said yes and he said the printer was broken, so he spent ages doing an handwritten one, and then fetched my food. That mucked up all my timings :o

It was queried and Gap told me the correct action would be to say I didn't want a receipt, get the food and then ask for a receipt. That must be normal customer behaviour :o

Bloooming lonnnng report with 25 questions and a whole list of observations/checks/things to do etc.

That sounds like a nice easy one to get you used to doing the job. Hope it goes well.
Here I go again on my own....

ha ha this did make me chuckle as i had proof read from same person - think i might be getting sacked by them too as i suggested she proof read her questionnaire before asking me for information that was not requested in teh first place"!!

I think the jury is out on me at the mo, I sent a 700 word rant to them this morning at the bottom of the proofing query and have refused to answer 5 of the questions as what they are wanting was not specifically asked to start with. I have however offered an olive branch to them and advised that I will be more than happy to answer any additional questions, however as they were not posed to start with when I agreed to complete the visit there would be an additional charge which will be at my consultancy rate of £26.75 plus VAT per question to cover the time that will need to be allocated to this ADDITIONAL request.

I have a feeling that they might be on the phone to Gapbuster right now asking if they can send over a proforma of the 'this decision is final and is non negotiable' email.

Besides if they do get shot of me it might be a good thing as I only use them as fillers normally and it has got to the point that their reports take longer than ones that I do for 10 times the fee! For example it took longer to write the pub report than it did to wirte about the visit I done before it which involved two enquiries in the lingerie department, a visit to the fitting room (no, not to try on the lingerie - minds out the gutter please!), two enquiries in the food department, a till visit at both the knickers and food then a visit to a cafe!

OMG. Wel jel! Think the only top notch shops I have done was for GR, a bank that was just short of a ton, and a kids painting figurine shop which was just short of a ton too with the reimbursement.

These days it's a couple of quid here and there isn't it?

Hope you are having a good day sweetie.

As westfield stratford will be opening its doors on 13 september, i guess there will be a lot ms jobs popping up there, has anyone been allocated jobs there and if so (re grass roots) what postal code do you put in, fancy supermarket will be opening there on 13, love their ms jobs so easy to do.

I can't wait for it to open as well. It's only 10 mins on the train for me and would be great to get jobs there. I haven't seen any so far but hope that there will be, it beats going all the way to the White City one for jobs.

To anyone who has done a torso/beauty shop for GR, is this a ladies only visit? I haven't seen a single one and I live near about 6! Am I going to have to change car parks again? LOL.

They were female only with the previous lot (I will not say their name as my BP has just returned to normal). Don't they realise that I like to moisture and dabble in a bit of make up every second Thursday when I don a frock and call myself Havanna ***kalot!!

    Cheek!
  • Think I have just managed to do my first alert ever - been trying for ages but you all beat me to it usually!
