The RE alerts are a bit more general but I dont do much for them, just the odd food job. I hate their reports and their proof readers so I stay away. This week is pretty quiet by my standards, done 12 today and got 8 for tomorrow then down to 6 on wednesday. Usually do between 40-45 a week though.
12 today?? How do you manage your time? Can I ask you if you work full time? Wow I am surprised that you can do so many at the same day. Amazing0 -
basically nanaw you need to sign up to as many companies as possible (on the first page) as not all will have jobs in your area all month, you often cant do a shop again for a few months and there might be a lot of people in your area working for some companies but not all. i work full time so fit in around that but have managed to do 27 jobs in 2 weeks. it has killed me though and need a little rest now
sometimes i see jobs and cant take them as too busy, othertimes i might only do one or two a week.
if you want a simple job to see if its for you, try gapbuster and do a burger job (you will see who i mean when you sign up):j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Whenever I agree to a job at an increased fee, for GAP or anyone else, I make sure I get the name of the person I spoke to, and when. I note this down on my MS spreadsheet, so if there's any problem I can say "that was agreed with .... "etc., and (so far, touch wood) have never had a problem. Good luck getting your premium. HTH the cake.
Whilst I'm not with GAP (they won't accept me, I think they must have enough shoppers in my area - from what I've read, I consider it a dodged bullet!), I'd also suggest that if you take calls from them on a smartphone, download an app to record the call, and save this somewhere on your computer so they really can't deny it - if you can get hold of them, that is!
My call recording app is also very useful for telephone MS jobs, when needing to recall exactly what was said and timings, etc0 -

Assosia - they can get a bit stroppy if openly discussed.0 -

Yep Assosia, no issues with mentioning their name, but I wouldn't even refer to their assignments in an 'oblique' way on a forum, as they have fairly (when you know the detail of some specific assignments) been upset when they've been discussed here in the past.0

It's my first post on here however I have been working as a MS for 8 years. Firs time I have ever encountered a problem with a particular MS company (the big one that shops burgers, pizza, coffee shops, petrol stations). I wondered if anyone has struggled getting the agreed payment out them in the past? I agreed to do an assignment at last minute for an increased fee. I completed the job on time as agreed however the additional fee was never added to the job. They said that the problem would be rectified within 24 hours - this was 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't been altered. I have contacted them via email several times and they appear to be ignoring me now. Not happy about this as I have never let them down! Any advice? thanks.
My advice would be to persevere with them until they do pay up. Rather than contacting them through their website you can send an email to ShopperAssignmentsUK@gapbuster.com That way you can save the email in your outbox and keep resending it every day for as long as it takes for them to respond
I had a problem with them once where they said I had visited the wrong petrol station due to the address on my receipt. The address on the receipt was the actually head office address, which was over 100 miles away  I was completely certain that I had visited the right location but like you they started ignoring my messages. I kept resending my email every day and eventually they phoned me. I received a profuse apology and full payment.0 -
!!!!!!.
Several phone calls from ESA yesterday, mostly the usual - jobs too far away for a generous extra 25p type thing!! But the second phone call was a local clothes store that I was actually planning on going to this afternoon anyway to get a present for my mother in law. So even though ESA annoy the crap outta me, I thought I may as well do this one, and get paid a bit to go somewhere I'd have been anyway, and the reimbursement almost covers the cardigan I was planning on buying. So all good.
But I've just looked at the brief and it's ridiculous. Asking the same question in about 6 different departments - that's not going to look at all suspicious is it! It's only a fairly small branch, so the departments are just the left side, the right side, and the back wall, all visible to each other.
Can't decide whether to just drop it, or to stick it out anyway and get the MiL's present paid for.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

Thank Clippy Girl, I will have a look. I leave in a small town and I am worry that I would need to waist a lot of time and petrol to get to the particular shop.
I understand that you had to sign as a self employed. Are there any hidden problems if you work full time at the same time or is it straight forward? thanks0 -
I keep seeing people mentioning ESA. Are they worth me signing up to?
Thank you so much to everyone who posts competitions
