No, the exemption is based on if you earn below the threshold in self employment, your PAYE earnings are irrelevant (or not) are irrelevant for calculating the exemption.... see the first post.0 -

hi all, just started mystery shopping in the last month and its great fun, the mrs calls me mr bond now! oh man!
anyway serious point, I work for the nhs and assume i will need to do a self assessment. ive done 2 weeks so far and earnt about 40 quid. if i did this for the year it'd come to about £1200-ish, this would mean me falling under the NI contributions wouldnt it so I could be exempt.
is self assessment quite easy? any help or advice would be most helpful.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Not worthy of an alert post as just one job but if youre a video shopper in scotland with your own equipment this may be of interestWe still have a visit in Edinburgh to fill, can you or anyone you know help?
We have some time to play with in order to get this allocated.
Can anyone put a shout out on any forums for me please?
I am prepared to increase the fee from £**.** to just short of three figures

Anyone know what the Gap cut off is for jobs to be paid. Did one on 31st July and wondering if it will get paid in August or September. Got a nice bonus for it so would like it to get paid in August0

Hi guys, I am a little bit confused. If the job is worth ex.£5 and it cost me another £5 to get to the particular shop where is the profit then?
I would like to ask all MS if it is really worth doing it or is it worth only if you live in a big city (ex.London, Brigton etc) and you dont have to spend a lot on public transport?
I would like to start doing it but dont want to end up spending more than I earn0 -

there would be no profit in the job you have mentioned, I avoid jobs like these, unless there is another job (even with another company) in close proximity and I use it to off set the cost.
MSis anot a get rich method and companies are paying less and less for jobs.
I dont do jobs that only pay expenses at all now, its fee + reimbursement at a minimum.
for tax reasons at times there are benefits to doing some jobs at a loss though...0 -

Can you please tell me which jobs I should accept then?
As you said a minimum is fee + reimbursement
Is there any minimum of payment for a job that I should accept?
I dont want to earn a lot of money as I dont have enough time (it would be a weekend job), but £20-40 a week would be great. thanks0 -
Do you have the name of that app please ? It sounds very useful
I use AllCallRecorder, which is free on Android. Apparently, depending on the model of phone (not the app), you may not be able to actually record the person on the other end of the line, just your voice, but I find turning the speaker on does let you hear them just fine0
