As in crap brief,pay etc
Not the mos attacked me with a knife.
Worst one ever for me was an RE bed shop.
I still shiver thinking about it and I have never done one since.
There was also an esa supermarket where you had to ask the mos what you should have for dinner.Difficult question for the kid when we didnt even live on the same planet.
Worst one was one of the first I ever done and I guess I was quite naive as nowadays I wouldn't even dream of considering it. The first 30 or so visits for me and for everyone I guess was quite a steep learning curve and I soon find out which visits I was comfortable with.
My worst was going to an electrical store looking to buy a washing machine and I was to accept every upsell and add on offered. The poor guy I spoke to was uber-efficient and I was offered everything from installation to extended warranty to a years supply of Persil at a knockdown price. Got to the till let the poor lad enter it all into the system and ask for payment then out comes the letter telling him that he had just been mystery shopped. I left the store feeling awful.0 -

Hi
It's my first post on here however I have been working as a MS for 8 years. Firs time I have ever encountered a problem with a particular MS company (the big one that shops burgers, pizza, coffee shops, petrol stations). I wondered if anyone has struggled getting the agreed payment out them in the past? I agreed to do an assignment at last minute for an increased fee. I completed the job on time as agreed however the additional fee was never added to the job. They said that the problem would be rectified within 24 hours - this was 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't been altered. I have contacted them via email several times and they appear to be ignoring me now. Not happy about this as I have never let them down! Any advice? thanks.0 -

Whats your native language? I have on occasion seen needs for foreign speaking shoppers. Plus, there are a few companies that work internationally. It may be possible to send them an email as ask if there is anything suitable.
Hi, sorry had to go to work. Do you know names of these companies? I would really apprieciate it. I am from Poland but I also speak fluent french. thanks0 -

Gapbuster? You can name them but not their clients. Sadly they have a reputation for ignoring emails to get out of paying people. I did 2 x coffee jobs a few months ago in the same town, and they phoned me claiming I got the reports muddled up. I said I hadn't, how was I to know the manager of the stores (both stores has the same manager) hadn't said that in order to discredit me, the mystery shopper (both reports were dire) and I asked for them to return my work to me so I could double check. They never did, they ignored every email I sent them about it, and I never got paid for the jobs. I was fuming so much I accepted over 20 jobs from their site and never did them and never cancelled them! I thought "that'll teach them" and was actually fully expecting to be sacked but I wasn't!
* Disclaijmer - I am not advocating accepting jobs you have no intention of doing, this shows very poor practice!
So ... the answer to your question is you willl not see your premium payment. Gapbuster are rogues. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Whenever I agree to a job at an increased fee, for GAP or anyone else, I make sure I get the name of the person I spoke to, and when. I note this down on my MS spreadsheet, so if there's any problem I can say "that was agreed with .... "etc., and (so far, touch wood) have never had a problem. Good luck getting your premium. HTH the cake.0
