I do keep a track of mine on excel - just so I know which jobs have been invoiced/paid as some of mine are paid direct. It also helps me keep an eye on my earnings and motivates me to SAVE the money instead of it getting absorbed into the household expenses. I'm retired and I certainly have never got up to 26 jobs in a month but I admit I do 'cherry pick'
Well done you!:T
It's only something i've started doing. I count them at the end of the month and compare to last year. I have started 'cherry picking' but must admit i accept certain low paid jobs as i can do them on my dinner hour and would only sit at my desk eating my lunch so might as well nip out for some air and make a fiver intead.
I'm currently using it as a motivating factorI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
I really need some help with the TNS system please.
I accepted a job a few days ago, and today received the email asking me to follow the link in the email, and proceed to the 'materials' page - where I should be able to access the questionnaire.
I can't find a materials page anywhere. I've tried emailing them but they are out of the office until Monday, and the email seems to say I will loose the assignment if I don't access the page within 24 hours.
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.0 -
debsjc, go to my visits, select visit. At the bottom i think it says something like reporting link. Click it and enter the passwords which are on the visit page. Click the I accept and then you should see notes, questionaire and other stuff. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I'm an email person but TERN are phone people, it really helps to ring. They are run off their feet mostly so just won't realise. They have a lot of written shoppers too so will just allocate as quickly as possible. If you ring them, they're really nice.
I was speaking to one of the Tern allocators about 6 months ago and she told me that they had around 6000 report mystery shoppers on their books. She said that at one time they had an average of just 300.
When you take into account 6000 shoppers then there must be loads applying for each job. Not surprising that shoppers don't often get selected.0 -
I hate the red betting shop on RE the scenarios are so obvious to staff might aswell hold up a sign saying im the mystery shopper!!0

I got an email from Tern sacking me for not having done any work in 9 months.
I explained that I had applied for everything in my area but been turn down.
They reinstated me, and told me to call next time I had something to apply for and they would fast-track it.
I am still waiting for a suitable visit 2 months later.0 -

But companies don't have an endless supply of jobs. I also get hardly anything anymore, but can understand why. If they have 6000 shoppers, it stands to reason that they are going to have quite a lot in my area. And out of those many will have good scores. My average is also a 9.
I don't agree with the advice that new mystery shoppers sign up to all the companies for this reason. Many companies don't need anymore shoppers and then new people complain that they are not offered anything.
I would say to sign up to the big agencies but to leave the smaller ones until you decide mystery shopping is for you.0
