Hi, just delurking from the <12 weeks thread (currently 6+4 I think!) as found a couple of things I want to comment on!!!

DH likes peace and quiet- DSD doesn't live with us full-time, so he's never really experienced how loud children can be and how irritating when it's constant. :) I'm 2 of 5- our house was never quiet! The dogs were a culture shock when they arrived- I keep thinking after 11 years he may have forgotten how loud babies are....

    It will be fun!

My DH is sooooo in for a shcok when this baby arrives! Firstly because he sleeps loads and it just won't be possible to keep a baby quiet as much as I do myself!

Secondly, he thinks babies only cry till they're about 3 months old!!!

And thirdly, in his words.....'they don't sh*t themselves for long'.....when discussing the merits of washable versus disposable nappies!!!

Not hard to tell he's never had anything to do with a baby is it?!

My feet actually feel like the skin is going to split open, have found a new way to amuse myself though.. If I rest one foot on the other for a few minutes it creates a giant freaky looking crater on the top :rotfl:

Between 8 quid a day for parking, food from the cafe for hubby and ten quid to watch tv for two days at a time we can no longer afford to have Flump anyway so she might as well stay put :p

AND I excitedly ticked chocolate cup cake on the menu for lunch and they sent me a weeny bit of weird peach cake instead and a 'due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to substitute your item' note!

ARe you likely to be in hosp for a few days? If so the patientline system has a good deal where you can pay £20 for 5 days TV but if you have left by the time your 2 days is up you can get £10 back by just ringing them before you leave. Unfortunately I'm a bit of an expert on it due to my dad spending quite a bit of time in hosp recently. Obviously I'm assuming your hospital's system is the same as ours. That parking charge is ridiculous though! The most you can pay is £3.30 here but £1.50 is usually enough to cover one visiting session.

That's crazy Bunnyhop! Why have you had to stay in for 3 days? Have you had the pessary and it's not working? With DS2 I had to keep ringing every few hours until they had a bed ready for me. Really wouldn't have liked staying in until they were ready.

Had the pessary in for 24 hours which only got me from 1cm to 1.5cm but they say that's enough to break my waters at least (not gone into labour despite a sweep) At least I have my own room, I would have been twice as fed up otherwise!

Started to gut this flat apart, and I've sort of lost momentum half way through, the hall and half the kitchen is sparkly, but the living room just has hoover and brushes and bin bags lying in it now. Oh dear.

^^^^ I do this! One room loooks lovely, the rest of the house looks like an explosion in a charity shop :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you! Looks the same here, I only bought 2 days on monday out of optimism, should have got 5! I will likely be here another 2 days I think although hoping to have baby for one of those days so not sure I will need the entertainment!

I really need to get my finger out, right now I'm sitting on my bum eating a triple choc mars bar.

OH will be home from work in an hour

Are they breaking your waters soon? You'll find as soon as they do that your labour will start in earnest and progress quite quickly so it shouldn't be too much longer my love! xx

Yeah they are, so yummy. My lovely OH brought me home a 4 pack last night. I've only seen them in smaller shop, not supermarkets or anything yet.
