Good Luck to all who comp!

sequeena.. mothercare bras are rubbish and a completely different sizing to everywhere else on the planet.. Go get measured at Debenhams and buy from bravissimo or figleaves..there are usualy loads of codes about and quidco too!
Hayley... roll the shy one between your finger and thumb it will stretch the little ligaments that are holding it in.. if it comes out at all it won't be an issue when feeding.. Use of a breast pump also helps as the suction stretches the ligaments too.. though finger rolling is more comfortable and easier. Nipple shields.. I have NEVER used one... and just an ordinary pillow for feeding if you need one at all... the 'proper' ones are too high so you can't get a good latch if you are short like me!
Those who have been to physio... is it worth having a first appointment later on? I have been given an appointment for 32 weeks.. not bad considering I was referred at 9 weeks!!.. and I honestly can't see the point in going.. I'll have maybe 5 weeks at most left.. I've managed this long I can't see another few weeks making one iota of difference it isn't like she can stop anything hurting..
I have been very very naughty and bought really expensive towels for the baby.. because I liked them.. they were cheaper than the Cath Kidson rubber ducks ones I wanted but still  Laua Ashley pices aren't good! Just the monitor to get and we are sorted.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I'm not blocked anymore. But I have been banned from the downstairs toilet because Dad has been complaining when he walks past it that he can't breathe....
Thank god I didn't take the prune juice advice....
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But I bet you feel so much better!! I'm halfway there (sort of) and I've got my scan tomorrow which I'm a bit nervous about as we are high risk for Down's.0 -
Congratulations pixiepops. I LOVE the little hat!0

Congrats Pixiepops! I love to see babies in knitted things!! My little one will be decked out in auntie-knitted hats, cardys, mittens and booties!!
I was having some strange dreams last night about baby!! I dreamt I had her - but giving birth was more like a midwife opening my backpack(?) and removing the baby from a bag of water - which she opened with a pair of scissors!! How random!! I know there was other dreams too, but I can't remember them! Although I woke up at 3am for a loo visit and thought, oooohhh maybe baby will start to arrive from tonight.....not so much! I'm still pregnant and with no pains!!
Abby - I envy you!!! Fruit has the opposite effect on me than most....so I've got prune juice in. It's awful stuff!!!
Wonder Womble - Best of luck for your scan tomorrow:heart2: Mummy to one gorgeous little girl :heart2:0 -

ETA - Also, do people recommend proper support pillows, or normal pillows, or no pillows for BF?
I'm glad to report that this morning all is well. I just need to keep up the water intake. Well its 11am and I haven't drunk ANY yet. I need to remember to driiiinnnnk.

You envy how I managed to clear the downstairs floor of my parents house? I'm not joking, my sister went to bed early...
All is well today however. I am going to have a moderate amount of fruit not a large amount of fruit. It was so bad the patio doors were kept open all night whilst I slept. Which a)meant we could have been robbed but b) noone would dare venture through those doors. They'd be knocked out.
I now have this paranoia that it will happen during labour. No midwife will want to come near me, I'll be delivering the baby soloMoney money money.

abby1234519 wrote: »I don't think it matters too much. Is it for the pelvic girdle thing? I had my last one at 36 weeks, she measured how far my legs could open and how far I can lift my leg (I can't....I can't stand on one foot!) and then went through what NOT to do in labour. So even if you go just as a preventative measure, ie she tells you how to prevent further damage during the actual labour it could be useful for that instance?
that and my dead back and my lack of stomach muscle and the hernia causing problems..
I know how far I can't open my legs and how far I can't lift my feet. I know I can't walk more than 20m without being in agony. Being told about it won't help.
This is my 10th I think I know labour well enough lol..
The only thing the MW suggested was she might be able to have a word in the shell like of the consultant and get me some stronger painkillers.
So no... it won't be useful will it? Thank you.
Amazing isn't it.. it takes them so long to bother getting me an appointment (23 weeks!!!!) it isn't worth going.. I was supposed to go with Squeak too and I am still waiting on that referral too.. actually.. this might be from that one!.. in which case it has taken 18 months to get an appointment! Even better.
Summer hols here anyway so it will be exceptionally difficult to go to any appointment without trailing at least 4 children with me.. which has probably just made up my mind!
The more I think about it the angrier I get... and I am furious when other people wait a day or 2 for an appointment when I have waited this long.. in fact I find I am angry just typing this... why should other people get appointments thrown at them willy nilly yet my GP requested a referral and I still don't get one!
I am also in the process of buying stuff for DD4 which OT SHOULD be providing.. yet that referral was supposedly sent 2 years ago and we have heard nothing!
