What is best payg for mostly text use?
Hello,
My daughter has been on a T-Mobile contract for 12 months but it has been expensive to run as she really only uses it for texts. She only got about 30 a month included (flex-t contract I think) so we have been constantly topping it up, although to be fair we did get a very good phone included in the price. What is the best payg network for mostly text use? or is there a contract for about a tenner a month which would give a high number of texts. Not fussed who it is with as we seem to get good coverage in our area.
Any reccomendations appreciated.
Cheers,
Ian.

Oddly enought T mobile PAYG are quite good for texts of you choose the right tarrif.
DD pays 3p per text on a plan that fleeces her for calls but she mainly sends text messages anyway.
She knows her calls will be expensive but as she only makes them in an emergency (and we can call her back) it is not an issue.
Her best bet is to go onto the T Mobile website and get herself a PAYG sim card that she should be able to use in her phone (assuming its loced to T Mobile). They were giving them away free but she may have to pay the princely sum of 50p.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -
O2 give you 300 free texts a month as long as you top up your phone with a tenner (which can be used to pay for calls)
Loads of free O2 sims knocking about.

If she still has contract cancel it and ask for number to be moved to payg.0 -
Excellent replies, thanks. I had a butchers at the T mob website and the Text Appeal rates look perfect her. I had just assumed T-Mobile wouldn't be a good deal because of how much it has cost us so far.
Thanks again,
