Hi I am sorry to post what may seem a silly question, I don't have a wii console, but if I wanted to buy a wii fit is that all I'd need to get or do I need the whole wii package too?

the wii fit is seperate from the console so you need both.
The Wii Fit console is the main part.. you just buy games for it afterwards.. Think of the Wii fit as a game it just comes with a balance board too which is compatible with some other games.
hope that makes sense!Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later datenow at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!0 -
Not 100% sure but I think you'll be ok. Check out these links. I think its down to the Wii console as to what language you set it too. Hope this makes sense.
Bon Chance.

There are no language problems. Wii fit from France, 4 things
1) Manual for wii ft board is in 11 languages 1st being English.(this has how to look after/trouble shooting problems etc)
2) Glossy Game Manual is in French but English version can be down loaded from Nintendo site
3) Board uses batteries so NO plug adapter needed.
4) AS your console will be setup for English (mine is & I live in France). All games with English on them will automatically play the English version. Wii fit- is a 5 language version inc English.
As for Germany, should be the same only gaming manual my only be in German.
Both .de & .fr have all your UK login details/address/card details so shouldnt be a problem using it. Just double check it is coming from Amazon not a market place. I checked both sites yesterday & they had stock.
If you go to site a type Wii fit , it should come then click on basket sign and should be same layout as UK.
On French site - some translations-
Disponibilit! : En stock. Exp!di! et vendu par Amazon.fr. Emballage cadeau disponible.= In stock and sold by Amazon.fr
Ajouter au Panier= add to basket
Passer la commande= check out
Votre Compte = Your Account
Supprimer- Is delete
Mettre Dans La Panier= save till later
Vous êtes d!jà client et votre mot de passe est= Basically You are an existing Customer so type in Your password.
( If you have a UK account, you are already recognised by the French...You are not a new customer)
Hope this helps
thanks for all the info.
I did read your message soon after posting mine but I forgot my password (different computer so no cookies!) and had trouble logging in.
I did check the packaging after looking at your post and it does mention five languages... I tried it out last night after I got back from paris and it works fine! hoorah!!! (just hope it doesn't break!)
Thanks for the links too - the manual does have english and the glossy leaflet is in french but I'll check out how to download that.
finally have a wii fit! tried it out but too knackered to play with it yesterday - Eurostar fire caused major delays - left my brothers at 6am and got home at 2pm!Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later datenow at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!0 -

dont forget, cashbackkings offer 4% cashback if you buy through shopto, or 3% if you buy from game
.
Now, I'm wanting a nintendo wii, and the mrs wants Wii fit.
So is the best deal that £239 for 'console and fit?' from game? (+ the 3% cashback and 5% on my card).0
