Hi, I would like to buy a Nitendo Wii for my wife for christmas, Do you think it's best to wait for better deals or buy now? I would've thought they will try to outdo each other closer to christmas or am I wrong?

    Thanks!

past experience with most nintendo products mean "price wars" are not usually anything special.

amazon black wii for £149 is not a bad price at all.

The new limited edition red wii is available from asda next week and its a good deal with games. £149. Theres 8% cashback at topcashback as well...so i think thats about £138 it takes it down too, correct me if i'm wrong maths is not my forte. :D

Contains the sleek limited edition Mario-Red Wii console, a red Wii Remote Plus, a red Nunchuck and three games - New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports and the original edition of Donkey Kong pre-installed on the Wii.
  • I would highly recommend Game for their PreOwned Wii's - £74.99 inc free delivery and you're still eligible for your Game Rewards Card points! Bargin in my opinion!

Do you still get a warranty with pre-owned? What happens if it goes wrong?

Often pre-owned Wii consoles do not include the Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort (incl Motion Plus) games. You also would not often get instructions or the original box.

There are plenty of good deals out there for new consoles - more so as we approach Christmas.

Keep looking, and I am sure you will find !!

Game and similar do give 12 months warranty on pre-owned consoles, so for the very price-conscious they can be worth it.

But in my mind, for a little bit more, a new (Wii) console will be complete with box, all the instructions, Wii Sports etc.

I use Wii Fit Plus and enjoy it. I find it especially useful because you can do it any time of day

What you need really depends on if you plan to use it for anything else

If you want just the Console and Wii Fit Plus the cheapest I can see is

The Console and Wii Sports for £119.85 @ Shop to

    http://www.shopto.net/WII/HARDWARE/WIICO00-Wii%20Console%20with%20Wii%20Sport.html

and the Balance Board and Wii Fit Plus from Amazon @ £73.47

Ive just bought an almost brand new wii console with motion plus, two remotes and 2 nunchucks, with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, and the Wii Fit Plus and Board for £129 from ebay. Might be worth having a look on there too

Just be careful with this sort of purchase (from private sellers) on Ebay, as you get no warranty or guarantee.
