Not in my Renault Laguna estate. I've had hubby & son in law wanting to teach me handbrake turns. I declined!
Just been around to driving instuctors house with champagne & bouquet & parked way down the road in case there were no spaces outside her house & I would have to go around the block again.
I'm sure it'll get easier. Driving on your own for the first time is scary. I keep looking for someone to tell me what to do.
Thanks all of you for the congrats & good wishes. I'm still on cloud nine.0 -
I just had another thought.
I can do as much bargain hunting / sale shopping as I like now without hubby moaning that his feet hurt. Bring on the January sales. I'm starting next years Christmas shopping then.

just remember, because you have an estate car it doesn't mean you HAVE to fill the boot up with bargains.0

Whether or not the kids want a lift somewhere I'll tell them that they need one.
Can't see much housework being done here I'll be out all the time. Not to mention getting anyone fed.0 -

Oh that's completely natural ! When I first passed a few years ago I remember doing the school run for the first time. I was outside the school at 2.15pm, ( child came out at 3.25pm) to make sure there was a space and then waited until everyone had driven off before I drove home, it took almost 2 hours to do the school run, hubby was like  when I told him, I could have flown to Spain quicker! Oh and turning right at busy lights, don't even go there:rotfl:
It DOES get easier, it'll be second nature to you soon, congratulations:T0 -
It is scary the first time, I drove the first night as my partner insisted then was nearly in an accident a car came towards me head on. I think the scariest thing was driving with my children in the car. I'm still bad with friends children and my neice and nephew in.One day I might be more organised...........
