like you say it will cause such a mess trying to sort out and cancel orders. Wouldnt like to work monday morning in the Hamleys Order Department.....Heads will roll.........The glitch if that is what it was was going for a long time. I first tried saturday morning and last tried before going to bed 2.00 am sunday morning. It was still going I believe till 10.oo am. They have 24 hour call centre so you would think someone would have noted something.
Wish I had bought up lots more now and could have sold some on to friends etc..... and sorted all birthdays from now till kingdom come...

I guess all will be revealed when orders should start to be despatched, on Monday morning!

money has been debited from bank account ths morn so hope they do quick refund if not sending goods. They could try hang onto our money for interest?

it says on their faq page once your order has left our warehouse your order will change to dispatched and your payment will be debitted........

prices are a bit inflated but i have checked all items 'purchased' and what with free delivery I still save sixty quid! If it goes through...please santa Ive been a very good girl!:A

yeah i aggree most of the items are priced above what you would pay elsewhere.... but if it goes through I reckon I will still save between 40 & 50%:j :j :j

As we do not take payment for online purchases from your credit/debit card until your order is dispatched, you will not have been charged for the order.

taken from terms and condtions.....does taking the money and actually debiting your card mean two differnt things?
I used switch so the money is taken straight out isnt it

with debit/credit cards when you place the order they go for authorisation and a hold is put on the funds by the bank... they then according to their faqs only actually apply the debit upon despatch of goods... hence if they cant supply you arent actually charged although their is a hold on funds for so long... which could create a prob if you then wanted to spend said funds elsewhere...
