Q: Bristol - Birmingham Airport

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out the best way to go from Bristol to Birmingham airport. I was thinking of getting there by taking a funfare with Nationalexpress which takes me to Birmingham coach station. Anyone an idea what is the cheapest way (I guess taking a bus) from there to the Airport to fly with Ryanair.

My return flight will arrive at 1915 at Birmingham airport, probably too late to catch a nationalexpress. There are cheap train tickets to Bristol from Birmingham New Street at 21.42. Is it possible to make it in this time to the train station or do I need plan that it might take longer.

Many thanks!

There are trains from New Street to the airport and vice versa.
It isn't far from Birmingham Coach Station to New Street, walkable if you don't have too much luggage.

There are coached from the Coach Station to the Airport by National Express.

Free monorail ride from Internation train station to airport takes about 3 mins.

There is a bus from the coach station to the airport - no 900 - which takes just over half an hour. Not sure of the fare. It won't be much different from the train

However it's worth checking if there's a cheap train ticket from International through to Bristol - there is on a random date I checked in a couple of week's time.

In any case, you'd be unlucky to miss that 2142 train - your flight would have to be very late for that.

But if you do miss it you are stuffed - you'll have to pay again.

Megabus is probably cheapest, don't know about times. Mega bus does stop at Birmingham International.
