Hi I work at a costco and we were selling the very very large bags of flour, I'm not in work till tomorrow to check for you tho if nobody else comes along

Do you have to have a special card or something to use a Costco?

Yes you would need to become a member either through working for an eligible organisation or company or being in a profession such as teacher, social worker or for trade self employed. Unless of course you know someone who had a card and could add you.

It is always worth popping in and asking for more information and a preview card that will allow you to look around the warehouse but not make purchases.

If it is a wholesalers then I can understand a company which needs to bulk buy being able to shop there, but why teachers and social workers?

They hold a degree so are classed as professionals maybe I should have worded It better sorry

I still don't see why they need to shop at wholesale prices just because they've got a degree!

Costco isn't a wholesalers of cash and carry as such, it's a "shopping club".

For people to pay to use a private club they have to set criteria otherwise it would be just another 'shop'.

You dont need a degree,you just need to work for certain companies,ive got my Costco mebership because im a Nurse with the NHS,but anyone working for the NHS can get a Costco membership.
my friend is a carer(no degree,didnt go to Uni,College etc,all on job training) with our local council,she has membership because she is employed by social work department...so it depends on your employer rather than what your actual job is.(iykwim)

No you don't need a degree it's just one of the ways you can join if your not a business owner or working for local government/council.
