Been on a payment plan for over 2 years via CAB. My offer was £1.00 per month and have been paying that since.
I have since reviewed my situation and are now offering them a fiver a month. But they want to see my bank statements to see that the info I have given on my I&E form matches my bank statements.
Surely they aint allowed to ask this?

They can ask for it, you don't have to provide it. They, however, don't have a legal obligation to honour the payment agreement as it's an "Informal" arrangement.
So refuse if you like, but expect a default notice.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

If your I&E is correct & you have nothing to hide i'd show the statements.
Failure to do so may end in Default which with ruin your credit file for 6 years.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -
To be fair - my credit file is poor anyway.0

were not capital one, have you got income really that you havent disclossed?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

If you asked this question of a certain forum that is popular for debt collection guidance they would say you should refuse point blank to provide it.
That said, they also expect creditors to accept token amounts forever on the word of the debtor.0 -
They can ask but theres no legal obligation to provide as already said only a court can order this iirc..Sealed pot challenger # 10

Well they can keep asking then as I don't see how it is any of their business. i've told them what they can have.0

If you have the means to pay more, then you should pay more.
If you don't have the means to pay more, then completing an income and expenditure document backed up with bank statements would show this.
By not providing the bank statements it could imply that there's something to hide. Without the information they could take a view that either (a) interest shouldn't be frozen and/or (b) they should now take enforcement action that they'd previously chosen not to.0 -

I think you are telling fibbies
I should also say that if you don't. They could default you (no big deal as you say) but take it to court and the court can request the info. It is a game of bluff really.
I got myself into a bit of a pickle about 10 years ago. 12 credit cards. 6 went to court.................................6 got thrown out of court. But that is another story altogether.
On a constructive note. I'm sure you have more than one bank account;)Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0
