"£2,000 loan needed for caravan" Shouldn't this say £2,000 loan wanted for caravan

Do you NEED the caravan or would you just like it?

I know a lot about vans, and a good van isn't cheap these days, so I can only assume that a good camper (which is essentially a tarted up van) will cost a lot more than 2 grand.

we looked at some campervans today..average 16k.....for anything decent..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Please don't buy a vehicle off Ebay, if you win the auction you've committed to buying it, or if the Ebayer takes it off auction to save his fees, you have no redress. Redress with Ebay is pretty feeble anyway. My daughter bought a car off Ebay, long story short, won the court case, but not received money back yet, and the chuffin car has been stuck on my driveway for the last 5 months, because I can't get rid of it until he pays up. Grrrrrr. Don't buy something you haven't seen.

I spent a lot of last month looking at big vans (looking to upgrade) And I couldn't find a good used one for under 14 grand, So 16 for a camper sounds about right.

Like I said Its going to be a shed.

I was thinking 2 grand for a camper sounded very cheap. What is it? A transit with an old mattress in the back? :)

    Sounds like madness to me.

Yes pretty much it is not fancy it is just basic, a fridge, oven, a mattress configuration to sleep 3, nothing just a way of getting about in the summer up north, Scotland that type of thing and then sell it to pay back the loan at the end of the summer, just a way of getting about

If you have a car consider something like a folding camper. Google it and see what you reckon. £2k will get you something OK espeically if you only need a smaller one for 3 people say. You are also then not paying to drive around in something more costly to run than a car for the 99% of your driving time that you won't be using it!

Google Pennine or Conway folding campers or search on ebay. They are like trailer tents but no pegging out needed and quick and easy to set up.
You can then save up for your dream camper van!

You do realise "Variable Rate" means only one thing?

A nano second after you have the loan the rate rockets skywards. Plenty of Cahoot customers to vouch for that one.

I would never get a variable rate, fix it so you KNOW what you will be repaying and can budget accordingly.

Then again, I would never buy a !!!!! Chariot in the first place. :)
