Orange updating T&C, can I get out?

who are you to tell anyone to "grow up" @simax. The OP asked a valid question.
Agreed. A valid question was asked, but then they acted like a 5 year old mimicking the company name. I couldn't care less what the company is called, but it dilutes the argument and makes you look like an idiot.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
This thread highlights how those of us who are disgruntled with Orange's horrific service will clutch at straws to try and get out. I arrived at this thread looking for the answer to the same question. I guess I can't get out of my contract because of this recent change.
I've got the same problems as the OP and have been quoting those parts of Orange's terms at Orange's call centre staff for weeks and have got absolutely nowhere.
I'm currently getting nowhere with a complaint to CISAS either. It just takes so long for them to do anything. The longer it drags on the more money Orange makes for providing a less than acceptable level of service.
Did you get out of your contract quoting section 4 of Orange's terms? How exactly did you manage that?
pvt me your email address i will forward you the correspondence i had with orange regarding the whole fiasco.0 -

For all the good it will do.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -
The original OP has a route they can take to come out of their contract but the change to terms is not the way to go or an good enough reason to come out of your contract. It seems we are a nation constantly looking to get out of a contract when the smallest of terms change comes into effect when in fact the change initiated makes no real change to your service... Everything Everywhere is the same company as Orange and has been for a year now. A change relinquishing you of your contract should only really have an obvious effect or change to what you get meaning you lose out... People getting out of these contracts using term changes as an excuse ultimately result in a company losing money, which somewhere down the line can lead to a hike in prices elsewhere to recoup these losses, affecting the customers who stay with their provider. But again... The OP has a case against Orange for their own issues just should follow their complaint correctly rather than using a minor change to get out early.0
